With inspiration collected from luxury hotels across the globe, the design incorporates several unique features to achieve optimal practicality for the clients’ daily lifestyle. Amenities include a coffee bar, a plasma TV at the vanity (for catching up on morning news while shaving), a bidet in the toilet room, and a digitally controlled steam shower with massage jets, to awaken the senses in the morning or relax the muscles in the evening. Windows looking onto the golf course bring in optimal natural light, yet easily allow for privacy with remote-controlled shades. One very special feature is a speaker system which allows for music selections depending upon the clients’ mood. Soothing instrumentals evoke calm and serenity while relaxing in the tub after a long and strenuous day.

With all of these high tech amenities it was important to keep a monochromatic color scheme to maintain a sense of calm. We added interest with luxurious materials and textures such as dark cherry cabinets, natural travertine floors, iridescent glass tile, sheer drapes at the freestanding tub, and acrylic furniture that offers practicality and style, yet doesn’t visually disrupt the color palette. The clients have transitional taste, so while traditional architectural elements exist throughout the home, we introduced touches of modern design through light fixture selections, plumbing fixtures, and furniture. The overall feeling is fresh, calm, and elegant.
